Bidra med feedbackJust as good as Thai Metro, but with a more intriguing menu. The service is not exceptional, but the food is tasty and the prices are reasonable.
The restaurant review was positive overall, especially praising their drunk fried rice service. The reviewer mentioned that they have been a customer for about 2 years and have generally had pleasant experiences at the restaurant. They appreciated that the staff were quick to seat them without a reservation, and also liked that there was an optional service charge that they could choose not to pay, especially as a student in central London where money can be tight. However, when they informed the waiter that they would not be paying the service fee, they were told that they may be denied a table next time as many students do not pay the fee and the restaurant needs the money. The reviewer found this response insulting.
This is the best pad thai I have ever had, and it's quite a generous portion for under 10 pounds. Siam Central is conveniently located near where I study, which is great because I usually go to Borough Market for pad thai, but it can get expensive with the added oyster fare. The pad thai here has a lot of vegetables and egg, not just noodles. The fish cakes are also delicious. This restaurant serves authentic Thai food and nothing else. They have a good variety of dishes, but I mainly come here for the pad thai so I can't comment on the rest of the menu. There is seating both upstairs and downstairs, so it's usually easy to find a table.
We went to lunch and lunch is just so cheap. I took the chicken jungle curry, the meat looked a little strange and it was too dry. good lunch.

Sit outside if you can, you will have a great time observing some Really loud people , probably called Fiona or Phillip, all making an impression on each other in nearby pubs and bars. Do not despair the food compensates for all this. As we were not really that hungry, we skipped starters, which are supposed to be great. I had green curry with prawns, and it was fabulous ; spicy, but not overpowering, with lots of prawns and crispy weg. My companion had the mussaman curry with lamb, and was over the moon with its taste and softness of meat. There is a decent selection...read more
