Golden Corral Buffet Grill - Dothan

I so wanted to give more than 3 stars because my steak was actually really good but the second I walked in there was this gawd awful smell that almost made me leave no joke it smelled like nasty body odor and when I asked the cashier she said ya I smell something as well but kept doing her job ‍. I sat down and went to get a salad and steak actually had to ask someone to come over to the grill because there wasn't anyone there the grill station. So like I said the Steak was good as well as the salad. But that dang odor inside the place was really strong and I swear I could smell it on the shrimp and fish as well. My server was super nice and kept my diet coke topped off. I wanted to get some banana pudding but it was gone when I went back up to get some but I needed to hit the road.

Steak ? was great, food, environment clean, nice place.

Think I 'm finally done with this place. Went there this morning for Sunday breakfast with the family, as usual the food was average... not great, not bad. We picked our table and sat down, after about 5 minutes a waitress brought us our plates and told us she wasn 't our waitress but ours hadn 't arrived to work yet. She got us our drinks and that was the last service we received, no refills no additional plates. The omelette station was another let down. For the most part it was abandoned, and when the guy finally did show up he started by tapping his tip bowl with the spatula while staring at the person in front of me. Since when did we have to pay each station separately? I paid $40 plus the anticipated tip at the end, sorry I 'm not tipping every separate station on top of that. One saving grace that I 'll mention is the hostess I 've had the last 3 visits (last name I think started with an M, young black female) is an absolute delight and treats all customers with a pleasant demeanor and a great sense of humor.

If I could give it zero stars I would.... The only thing great here is the manager the staff is rude and will roll their eyes at you!!!! Like come on this is the job you picked do it and go home.... Absolutely worst customer service ever!!!!

I have reviewed this Golden Corral in the past but after such a delicious meal this past Friday had to review again. Once or twice a year for a limited time they have prime rib weekends. This time they also combined it with a holiday feast with all of the great holiday dishes you might expect. I love prime rib, but for me I cannot do it on the rare side. They carve the whole prime rib for each person's plate, it was too rare for my liking. I asked the grill cook if he could throw my slice on the grill to get it more done. He was happy to do it after just a couple of minutes I had a delicious slice of prime rib. It is as good as any high end restaurant where you will pay top dollar. The value cannot be beat, we always get great service too. The fireplace inside the dining room makes it so cozy!!!!
