The restaurant is trying to trap customers with a 12% service fee on top of the expenses. We left before ordering anything, as we saw the statement in small fonts at the bottom of the menu. Outside on their window, the statement was partially blacked out. I know that some Italian restaurants charge coperto and that's totally fine if they're transparant with their customers from the get-go. It doesn't sit well with me when they're trying to hide it.
