The Sa Bistro - Dornoch Highlands

We arrived on sunday july, around Signs outside told that the restaurant was open for dinner. Inside it was rather crowded. We asked for a table for the two of us. The inexperienced waiter went away to ask and came back with the...message that there was no seat available, however it was clear that some people in the restaurant were ready to leave. No excuses, it just looked as if the kitchen personnel would like a early day off. Outside we met people that were sent away minutes before. This is not the way we like to be treated, unworthy to be called a restaurant.

Five of us booked dinner here, we were seated right opposite the public bar and the door was open, people playing pool quite loud as they were enjoying themselves! now I do not have a problem with that, but not when we went out for...a quite dinner, the food was good and so was the service.

I had dinner here while staying at the hotel. Mince, bridies and scotch pies feature on the menu, which gives a pretty good idea of what to expect.

A nice varied and budget-friendly menu, with healthy portions, to suit all tastes . Lovely friendly staff on hand to make sure you enjoy your meal.

My girlfriend and I walked the coast from Brora to Golspie and were tired,thirsty and hungry! We both had steak... We've had better,but was perfectly adequate! REAL onion rings! They were noice! Don't think all the one stars are justified... But each to their own!...Staff advised us on busses back to Brora aswell.... Very helpful!!
