Bidra med feedbackWhen we arrived at the restaurant for our confirmed reservation we found the restaurant closed with no sign. No one notified us, not the restaurant or Open Table. We had to scramble to find another restaurant for our out of town guests and ourselves. Not an easy task during the holidays. What happened???
Very disorganized from hostess to kitchen staff. Requested indoor seating and were sat outside where it was very loud. Main dishes were brought out at separate times and had to be sent back for reheating.
*please note- my review reflects only pickup to-go service and nothing about dining in. This restaurant reminds me of many that came before, that arrive in town with a grand opening pushed hard on social media by DJ this-and-that, promoters, wannabe socialites and Instagram models, and others, with a big flashy entrance, chic vibes and of course the white linen curtains flowing in the wind. Lots of advertising early in the spring when this place opened (or was renovated? Not sure which took place). Reminds me of many south beach places with limited menus, and expensive and small plates. As I stated, we didn 't dine here, but rather only ordered to-go on a slow weekday night when we were bored and wanted to try something new. The menu is kind of small and is mostly comprised of small plates, appetizers and tapas style food. We ordered a couple flatbreads, I personally had the lamb and tzatziki one which was yummy honestly. We also had salad, octopus rice and prosciutto. I have nothing particularly negative to say about the meals we had, but the portions were small. We spent almost $100 in all and were left kind of hungry. We 've had stellar Greek food at other places that have left us speechless and I feel this fell short. We had to wait a good while for the food but they seemed pretty busy. The people dining in looked like they were having a good time. But I 'm not sure if the experience of eating the same exact food seated at a table with maybe a cocktail thrown in there for good measure is enough to push my rating up another star or two. Overall it was alright but nothing too special in my opinion.
Greek heaven on the second floor of an outdoor Doral mall. Chic lounge vibe with a chill, subdued, ambience perfect for unwinding from the week. The mood lighting is dark and a relaxing blue.Remodeled in 2021. Feel like your walking into a European discoteque. Only it's Miami, the the hosts and servers are latin! The Hummus dip is excellent. The olive oil is intentionally pooled in the center of perfectly ground chickpeas, parsley, and smoked paprika. Even better is the Pistachio Gelato. Perfectly textured, smooth with a slight bit of grit, nutty, and not too sugared. Simply delightful! Ascend to the second floor and taste a bit of heaven!
Delicious calamari and octopus and attentive service. But the drinks had to much simple syrup in them.
