Since September 2020, the German Champion has been under a new leadership, now I have been eating a few times there. The bad comments can only refer to the previous owner... In the German master, it is now cooked without exception with fresh, regional and seasonal ingredients, and I could taste that every time. In addition to classically good bourgeois, there are always fine delicacies such as Asian pumpkin soup, so for every taste there is something. The staff are always friendly and accommodating, and instead of Pommes, you would like to see it as a supplement, it is not a problem! The portions are plentiful, so even small purses are always filled. The ambience is cozy, in summer you can sit beautifully outside under chestnut trees and also for private celebrations the German champion is a great address! My conclusion: Always worth a visit!
