Jack Astor's - Dollard-Des Ormeaux

We asked if the veggie burger was a real black bean burger, as listed on the menu. The server assured us it was, but it ended up being a supermarket "veggie beef" burger with toppings similar to McDonald's. Considering the price of the meals, it was not worth it. We were all disappointed by our meals as it was obvious they were not freshly made by a chef in-house. For the prices we paid, we expected better quality. While we understand the struggles caused by the pandemic, it may be time for them to hire a chef.

This was our first visit to this restaurant and unfortunately, it will also be our last. We ordered burgers and wings, but found nothing special about our meal. My son, who usually loves burgers, couldn't even eat his because it was so dry. The wings were even worse - some were not properly cooked and were raw on the bone, making them inedible. When we brought this to the attention of our waitress, she apologized but did not offer any compensation, such as a dessert or discount. This lack of acknowledgement was disappointing and left us feeling unsatisfied with the overall experience.

I recently went to this restaurant with a friend to have a quick beer, some fried calamari, and a few salads. The food was terrible - overcooked, underseasoned, and of poor quality. I was extremely disappointed with the food. The service was good, but the food was just awful.

The food here is very good for a bar, there's lots of choice and genres. From fries and potines to healthier bowls. And more. Service is always friendly. It is highy recommended for work reunions but also for a family outing. I go here for...both, often
