I brought my sister and brother in law along to escape from the World Cup noise for some time. We ordered one afternoon tea and one lunch. The menus had changed from what we had seen online and some items were missing ‘as the menu had changed’. This should have been reflected online. Secondly, we had left over food from afternoon tea, including cakes and a missing cake from lunch we didn’t receive. The menu had said warm chocolate cake (was looking forward to it), we got a Zucchini cake and did not receive the left over cake from afternoon tea. Asked for karak at the camp fire and did not receive it. Considering the price (500 QAR), these minor details should not have been a challenge. Nonetheless the staff were very courteous, although found the manager on duty to be a bit abrupt. The ambience and location fantastic. Great place to take visitors to escape the heat and enjoy nature in Doha.
A beautiful escape from the city, Heenat Salma is a destination like no other. We thoroughly enjoyed the food, the ambiance, and the people. Can't wait to be back again!
Heenat Salma is a unique and magical place about 40 minutes drive from West Bay, Doha. One of Qatar’s first fully organic farms and eco-tourism destinations. The dinner setting is beautifully serene, set on an elegant (traditionally-inspired) terrace and majilis. The set menu is made with ingredients largely from the farm itself and is some of the best food I’ve eaten in Doha in 10 years. We were the only ones dining as I think people are not yet aware that this exists. If they were, you wouldn’t be able to get a table.
Highly recommended, although the music was too loud. I was looking forward to
