Bidra med feedbackLast visit, my fiancee and I took a friend from out of town to Pedro's. The friendly woman at the counter suggested we try the Molcajete for four. The Molcajete sits in a volcanic bowl that is a bubbling aromatic mass of carne asada, chicken and pork, carrots, radishes, serrano peppers, onion, and topped with sliced avocado and cheese, and grilled shrimp. It was phenomenal. It's almost like stewed meat, but spicier and more meaty. My friend from out of town was so impressed. It was the first time he's ever been to Dixon. Our meal for the three of us, including sodas, totaled 26$ and we had leftovers to spare! Would totally be down to go 2-3 more times before Xmas break ends
Mexican style dishes served with their fresh homemade corn tortillas. They make a flavorful cafe de olla (cinnamon coffee . This little gem has plenty of seating but recommend you take a picture of the menu then sit down wherever you want, the server will come and take your order. They do not have menu's also bring Cash as it is a cash only restaurant. Sorry, ate my meal and forgot to take a picture of my order, next time :
Pedro's cocina is the One of the best Mexican Restaurants in Dixon. Everything: From Salsas to Coffee is made to high standards, place is decent size service is fast knowing they make their plates as they get orders it takes time to make a dish as order. Overall is worth every penny.
I 'm a fat man. I love Mexican food. I 've eaten at a lot of Mexican restaurants. I grew up eating homemade Mexican food in New Mexico. Could there be any better credentials? I have not eaten at a better Mexican restaurant. I never like to say 'this is the best ', but..... Friendly staff. Nice decor. Clean. Not at all fancy for you snobs, but a nice Old Mexico feel. I 'm going to have a hard time traveling somewhere else to eat Mexican food.
We ate here this afternoon and had a great meal. The al pastor tacos are fantastic and the barbacoa tacos equally so. Service was great and prices reasonable, although bring cash, they don't do cards (yet). It's cash only but well worth it for some of the best Mexican food in the area.
