Bidra med feedbackDissapointed with the level of courtesy and appreciation for a paying customer . I purchased a drink this morning, as I went to pay three teenagers came to stand in front of me putting on their best cute look. I pressed skip as they watched and witnessed a shift from a welcoming face and atitude to one of contempt and disregard. I felt not valued as a customer and that an expectation for a tip for a service I had not even received yet filling up the cup) was not warranted. The three young staff members clearly have priorities aside from doing their job and serving coffee to the community. The drink was not great....I had to wait for the one barrista to finish her conversation with the one on the till before she started making mine.
Exceptional!Try their pastry you cannot go wrong with it!
Single shot 8oz cappuccino, please. This seemed to confuse the alleged barista. After some chin stroking with a colleague over this deviant request I was informed they did not have 8oz cups.I suggested she could make two-thirds in the 12oz cup, then. After a further bored meeting I was told, sure, but she would still have to charge me for the now-normalized 'small ' N. American standard – double-shot-12oz. Ok, I replied forlornly.Fella next to me was peering down the tunnel of his 12oz paper cup at the distant, single espresso shot at the bottom, half of which would have coated the cup on its wide-arc, cantilevered tilt into his mouth. No espresso cups?I took a couple of sips of the beige, milky substance with almost no coffee flavour, set it aside, decided on the evidence that it wasn’t worth pursuing there and then, and… here we are...I understand that such chain cafés use coffee as the basis for peddling a multitude of big shiny happy coffee flavoured beverages for big shiny happy coffee friendly people. But you could at least master the basics. Get some proper size cups. And make a cash register code for a single shot 8oz cappuccino.
I’ve lived in this Neighborhood for 20 years and go to this coffee shop whenever I can’t go somewhere else. The girls here(the owner only hires young girls, never seen a male work here in 20 years) always have so much attitude. No smiles, thank you’s or general friendliness. I really try to avoid this place. Just had the grumpiest two girl this morning. Same old for this place.
The cinnamon buns are amazing. Their coffee is one of my favorites on the north shore.
