Bidra med feedbackA cosy restaurant with warm hospitality. Had a good evening enjoying local Assamese cuisine. Pabho Fish in mustard based curry was superb. Overall had a good dining experience
Ordered food for 4 people at 12:30 PM, food didn't arrive even after 1 hour. Finally left for airport without having lunch.
I went to king chilly with my best friend after another friend's recommendation. They have an authentic assamese menu. I used to be vegetarian that time n she is a non veg, we ordered Joha rice with a veg curry n pork curry. All the dishes are little pricey, but it seemed okay as per the location, ambience etc are concerned. Veg curry was pathetic. No Assamese authentic curry would look n taste like that, my friend was okay with the pork item though. They have a really nice ambience n they serve in traditional bass metal plates n bowls. I just had an average experience with king chilly
Was staying in the Gateway Grandeur hotel on an official visit, and since the main restaurant was booked for a party, was directed to the King Chilly Restaurant in the same hotel. Was an accidental visit, but made my evening. Opted for the Veg Thali Fish curry (Pabdas Maas). Food was excellent authentic Assamese fare. Would recommend to anyone looking to taste an ethnic Assam meal
This restaurant is a wonderful choice for those looking for authentic Assamese cuisine. Whether it's pork, chicken, or locally sourced small fish, every dish is a treat. The atmosphere is pleasant, and the staff are friendly. While the prices may be a bit high, the delicious flavors make it worth it. I recommend trying the Mua Mach Fry and Pithaguri Gahori Mangso. The traditional serving style adds to the experience. I've had enjoyable meals here for both lunch and dinner.
