Bidra med feedbackWe were looking for a traditional Assamese/Bengali restaurant during our short stay in Guwahati. Ambrosia was highly rated on Zomato, so we decided to give it a try. The restaurant was spacious, well-lit, and not too crowded. The staff was friendly and polite, but the service was a bit slow. We decided to skip the North Indian and Tandoor items on the menu and went straight for the Assamese/Bengali dishes. The Patot Dia Mas, a signature fish dish wrapped in a leaf and steamed with spices, was delicious. The home-style chicken and mutton dishes were also tasty. The Fish Fry Kolkata Style, with small whole fish crispy fried and eaten whole, was the highlight of the meal. We also enjoyed the Dab Chingri, river prawns cooked in tender coconut. The delicious food prompted us to return to Ambrosia for dinner the next night, where we enjoyed the same dishes again. Overall, it was the best meal we had during our stay in Guwahati. We highly recommend a visit to Ambrosia.
The restaurant is situated on GS Road and offers delicious Indian cuisine. The service was attentive and the ambiance was satisfactory.
The restaurant is a bit shabby, the service was extremely slow, and the restroom was not in good condition. Even though we were a large group, the service should not have been that slow. Incense was burning when we arrived, and we requested for it to be turned off.
We went there with the family, it was 5 Adults 2 Kids. The restaurant was empty, apart from another Table of 4. The menu had wide selection of food drinks, a little over priced but still suffices with the quality offered. The service was also great and so was the food ordered. We had a gala time, would have loved it more had it been full.
Good location, Nice service and reasonable pricing and to top up with quality food. For a place like Guwahati, its another nice restaurant to hang up
