Bidra med feedbackStayed 3 nights and fridge didn't work reported it and nothing. Called back the next day still nothing . Knobs on sink all wrong . Boil water advisory we was not informed about. So we brushed our teeth and made coffee before finding out . Really going down hill. Have stayed here for years and this was the worst experience of all . Was offered 10%off. Wouldn't recommend paying the prices for the luxury you expect and want get .
It's a nice hotel, a bit dated though. Rooms were cleaned every day, no bugs. It's a little bit far from everything. Great if you just want to hang out there, horseback riding and a pool on site.
We love staying at the Dillard House. We stayed in several different places there, from Helen's house to Eddie's house and two of the hotels. We love it. That's one of the reasons we keep go back to stay their while we go whitewater rafting. I will say that it could use some good maintenance.
The restaurant was terrible. Servers were unfriendly, and unhelpful. Food was poor quality. The slaw and the tomato and onion relish served first was excellent. All food was cold, cold, cold. Never write reviews, but would like to get money back, Eaten here several times and was excellent. New owner? Do not go.
We made another family trip here because we wanted to try again many years ago after a bad experience. The area is so beautiful and the old memories of them wouldn't let go. So glad we turned it again. We fell in love again. Whew! The rooms were updated * light *, and the cleaning staff had a wonderful work with what they have. I included detailed photos. The reception staff was wonderful. The stable staff was wonderful. Dinner was wonderful. The beds were very comfortable. It was noticed a quiet night without noise from neighbors. The refrigerator worked well. The bathroom was not worthy of a bathtub, but good for a shower. It looks like they tried to rain the tub and it's coming out. The caulking was quite new. No mold/milk to speak. The floors were clean (both the vinyl plank and carpet). Enough sockets available for everyone to load a phone. Climate control worked well. The safety at the sliding door was an additional slider that was a welcome addition, and the front door now had a chain (which was missing on our last trip many years ago). We are happy to plan our next trip. I recommend staying in the Blue Ridge building, it was the Meadows building that was a terrible experience before.
