Very cozy environment, with a fire in each room. very friendly and attentive staff who likes to spend the time of the day with them and eat. fantastic is an understatement. so tasty, so well presented, and the dessert was sheer heaven. I haven't been so excited about a meal yet, and I'd be more than happy to come back. Top brands and many employees of the raven.
Lovely pub, and the food judged by our first visit is not to be missed. Had good old pie and chips and as you can see its a feast for the eyes. The triple cooked chips were divine and the pie was just amazing, lovely tender meat beautiful pastry...you could not ask for more plus excellent service. We hope to return soon, highly recommended
I should start by saying this is my local pub, and as such I have an interest in keeping this great pub in our village. This pub is a friendly place, locally owned, everyone involved care about what they do. It has a pleasant and typically cozy interior as well as a nice garden area. The Wadsworth beers are served from oak barrels mounted and chilled behind the bar. The food is excellent, though as with most modern cuisine, everything has to be played with in some way. Price wise it's £15 to £20+ I have no hesitation in recommending this pub to anyone.
My husband and I visited for lunch today. We were amazed at the quality of the food so much so that we’re already planning a second visit to try more of the menu. The Raven itself has a lovely cosy feel with a modern twist. The atmosphere was enhanced by the friendly staff.
