Bidra med feedbackLeila Restaurant in Detroit is an absolute gem! The food is a delightful fusion of creativity and tradition, and the staff provides warm and attentive service. I can't wait to return for another exceptional dining experience.
It wasn’t a good experience. The staff seemed uncaring and inattentive. The food was slow to come out and they kept forgetting what we ordered and having to bring it out way after. The food was soooo salty and the grilled kabobs were chewy and not tender, the kafta was super salty and the chicken was the only good meat we had. The kibbe, batata harra and baba ganouch were good but we spent 420 dollars on food that really didn’t feel worth it.the worst part of it was when I asked for a box to take the rice with me, the girl said she would do it and proceeded to clean the table in several trips. I told her I could box it we had to leave because my toddler was getting restless, the girl left and then threw the box at me and walked away with zero eye contact. I don’t think we will be coming back unfortunately.
Dined here for the first time on a Saturday evening. My original reservation was for indoor seating and not patio seating. My friend arrived prior to me and accepted patio seating. While dining outside, the patio seating welcomed a great deal of bees and I didn’t want to enjoy bees while eating. I kindly requested our waiter to change my party of 4 to a different table for insidoor seating and he kindly lied and said there were no tables available. I asked the hosts to change our table to indoor seating and she happily made the change with no issues. The food and drinks are nothing to get excited over and attendance is more for the ambiance.
It was my birthday and my hubby to me out to dinner. The staff was great. The food was exquisite and the atmosphere was very nice. We were even asked if we had food allergies. I do have fish and sea food allergies so they were able to recommend on how the food could be prepared for my safety. All in all it was a wonderful experience.
Leila is a go to in Detroit for nearly any occasion. The atmosphere welcomes dressing up for a special occasion or a casual dinner with friends and family. When the weather is good, the patio is one of the best outdoor seating in the city. The food is as good as it gets in Detroit. I've never been disappointed and really can't recommend Leila enough. We go over and over and always find it a wonderful place to bring friends who always enjoy the experience.
