El Matador Mexican - Desert Hot Springs

Amazing food and service! This restaurant has my sister's wedding last minute after the original food truck truck was a no-show. They showed up with more than enough delicious food for over 50 people in less than an hour, including a vegetarian option! Definitely recommend to anyone who needs food for an event or just a quick dinner.

The first time to eat here was for the lunch break after company meetings. At our table about nine different dishes were ordered and each of them looked fantastic. I tried the shrimp enchiladas with Chile and they were delicious. The staff here were very friendly.

This was my first time at this restaurant. My friend and I decided to give this new Mexican restaurant a try. We drove 25 minutes and were pleasantly surprised. The food was very authentic and had great taste. Despite there being only one server who was handling 7 tables at the time, she did a good job of attending to everyone. We will definitely be returning to this restaurant in the future.

I love the food at this restaurant, especially the Birria Burrito and the Queen with consommé. Just make sure to double check your order before leaving, as they often make mistakes. Despite this, the delicious food makes up for any issues. The people-watching from the outdoor seating area is also entertaining. I highly recommend this restaurant.

The restaurant is lovely and has very friendly service. The food is good, but it definitely has a US-style with hot plates. The $4.99 margaritas on special are really delicious.
