L'ozioso Castellano

Nice location the feet of Desenzano's castle and few steps away from old port. Nice well served German beer. Cozy place; available outdoor and indoor seats. Haven't tried food yet.

Found this place on trip advisor. We were 11 hungry travellers looking for sustenance and we were not disappointed! The hash browns are the best I’ve had outside the UK, the Pizzas were tasty, the fajitas were not fajitas but delicious lemon and mint curry and not disappointing either. Service was good, portions were huge everyone was happy. Would come again :

Called in here a few times for drink, good range of beers reasonably priced staff were always very friendly and provided good service. cant comment on the food as we never ate here but a regular place to call in for a drink or two after dinner.

Visited this evening and sat outside on our way from visiting the castle. A bit of out of the way so not very touristy but that 's why I liked it. Everyone else in this place was Italian. Nice seating area inside and out. Nice 'proper ' pub atmosphere with friendly and welcoming 'alternative ' staff, which was a refreshing and welcome change in Italy and a taste of home for an English rock chick. They got my order wrong, as a non-meat eater, being served a bowl of bacon pasta didn 't bring a smile to my face, however, they were extremely apologetic and offered to refund/exchange or something similar... (my Italian isn 't good and neither was her English, but we got there in the end). My replacement arrived quickly and with further apologies, and on receipt of the bill we received complimentary shots and a discount voucher for our next visit. I 'm not big on complaining, and I hate to waste food so I 'd rather grin and bare it, but I was very happy with the food and service and would definitely return!
