Old West Mexican - Des Moines

Nice place. Good food. We had a fast service with a group of 6 adults and a child. One person in our party got three enchiladas and the steak was like roast steak, so it was strange, but otherwise it was good.

Excellent food! Visit of PA. I wish we had this place with us! Much better than anything near us.

The waiters were nice, they served my food and came to the table immediately if we wanted the check. the food I?ll give 4/10 and the Margarita were 9/10. I gave the waiter a $5 tip, although the experience was very unpleasant. While we saw the employees on my table as if my guest and I would run away without paying after I paid, I took a picture of the receipt because I felt uncomfortable about something. As soon as I gave them my card, they took them and I signed the entrance. When I came home two days later, I looked at my bank statement and noticed that they accused me, so I called to talk to the manager one of the staff said he wasn't there, so I told him to take my number off so his manager can call me as soon as he returns to the office. The staff refused and tried to tell me other excuses until I mentioned complaint because it was theft and I had a copy of the receipt. When I said he wanted my name and my number. I'm not my money they stole from me so it looks like I'm gonna get my money back through the court. TÜRBEN the PICTURES of your RECEIPT! Thank you later.

I love the old West. My partner and I eat here regularly and we are never disappointed. The food is brilliant; I have taken very picky friends and family here and even they enjoy it (what much says). The service is amazingly fast and the servers are very friendly. We've never waited for our food for more than 15 minutes, and most of the time is under 10. It pushes me out to see the negative reviews here, because it is such a strong contrast to our experiences.

When we entered, got seated to a booth, they did not offer us a high chair for baby. The place was not even busy yet, and we had to wait about 5 minutes until we got our waters and chips and salsa. The shrimp i had ordered was cooked too long, looked like pieces of chicken, and my rice was not separated from the shrimp. The taco salad we also ordered was bland, and the steak was not flavorful. The servers did not come back to ask if everything was okay, and if we needed water refills. I am certainly not trying this restaurant again.
