El Buen Sabor Latino - Des Moines

Ordered a to-go order over the phone, it was fast and the lady was super sweet. (Even ran out to my car with cold items that were not in the bag I had). Got it home (about 10 minutes away) and it was still piping hot and sooooo delicious. We ordered papusas con queso, camarónes a la salsa picante, and tacos al bistec (papusas with cheese, saucy spicy grilled shrimp, and steak tacos) LOL My favorite part was actually the bean dip sauce, and the side salsas. The flavor is incomparable! Love this place!!!!!!

So I ordered food from this establishment and the beans tasted spoiled, the salad was not fresh and the chicken was dry! Very disappointed, I called the restaurant, I spoke to a women and she told me I can bring her back the food but because I touched it, I wouldn't be getting my money back. So upsetting... I will say the carne asada and the rice was good so I wasn't asking for all the money back but maybe part of it?? Definitely not worth what I paid.

I ordered some pupusas and the lady didn't even take my name down just hung up on me and when I got to the restaurant she she didn't know who's order was who's. Then when i was about to pay i realized they raised the pupusas by $1 each I was thinking ok whatever ill just pay them but when I got home I was very very disappointed to see that my pupusas barely had anything inside them so I pretty much paid $30 for 8 tortillas and 3 sodas thats BS if you gonna raise your prices at least make them right!! Worst experience ever!!

Additionally, I noticed that they had raised the price of the pupusas by $1 each. Despite this, I decided to pay anyways. However, when I got home, I was extremely disappointed to find that the pupusas barely had any filling inside. I essentially paid $30 for 8 tortillas and 3 sodas. This was a terrible experience and I believe that if they are going to increase their prices, they should at least ensure that the quality is up to par.

I recently tried some delicious Salvadoran cuisine at this restaurant! The menu is extensive, offering breakfast dishes all day, and the service was excellent. The fresh fruit drinks made in-house were a highlight for me. My favorite dish today was the steak and cheese pupusa. I can't wait to come back and try more items from the menu soon!
