Centro - Des Moines

Grateful for them offer vegan options. The gnocchi as really good a few times I have eaten it and quite bland some of the other times I was the vegan pizza is good, but I would ask for them with less vegan cheese (if I got it they put a lot on)

Many reviewers torture the gnocchi. I mean, it's okay, but nothing to rave. It's pretty bland and I added a lot of salt and pepper. I wish Centro would add more vegan options. It is not so difficult to make pasta with veggie, marinara or mother-based cream sauce. But I will return anyway, because I work in DT Des Moines, and Centro is comfortable.

This place has been a long time ago, but I always had good service, good food and a nice culinary experience overall.

Had the vegan Tofu Gnocchi with red sauce and Brussels spirouts. Both were fantastic. The waitress was very friendly and pleasant about my requests for no cheese. Great experience.

Never a bad meal at Centro. This has been our go to restaurant for 5 years running when we are in Des Moines.
