Bidra med feedbackAfter reading numerous positive reviews about the seafood at this restaurant, I decided to try it for the first time last weekend. I had high hopes for a thick, flaky, moist piece of Cod with a crispy batter. However, I was disappointed to find a thin, tasteless fillet of frozen fish that had a rubbery texture and a cardboard-like taste. The quality of the battered fish was below par, leaving me questioning the credibility of some people's food reviews. The chips were decent, but they could not make up for the poor quality of the fish. Despite claims of being the best fish and chips in Derry and Northwest, I would not even consider them to be in the top 10 in Derry alone. This experience was a one-time occurrence for me.
The food I received, specifically my burger, was freezing cold and as hard as a board. The onions on it were not even fried. Additionally, the drink I ordered was missing from my delivery. This is not the first time my order has been incorrect, and the food consistently tastes bad. I am not satisfied as a customer.
Excellent as always. Food is consistently delicious, friendly staff and plenty of parking if you’re picking up your order. My personal recommendation is the Hawaiian burger and fully dressed Cheeseburger. Chips are lovely too.
We decided to get a carry out one night and found this place, we decided on fish and chips, I was a bit disappointed when the guy took the fish out the freezer (I hate frozen fish) coming from a seaside fishing town fresh is always best! But I have to say we all enjoyed the fish and chips and the batter was lovely on the fish. Everything was freshly cooked and piping hot, the prices were pretty good. The place was spotless clean and staff were very friendly.
Overall the food is lovely, they offer a wide range of options including gluten free pizza, there are a number of great value deals which cater for families or parties excellently, and preparation and delivery times are consistently very good
