Bidra med feedbackWe have visited Matlock multiple times but only recently discovered this charming café. My daughter and I stopped by this morning and sat outside with her dog, enjoying the view of the park. The coffee was delicious and my daughter really liked the Bakewell tart. The staff was friendly and we will definitely be returning on our next trip to Matlock.
Worth a stroll up steep St Johns Road to look at the lovely and diminutive Victorian Arts Crafts style chapel (opens usually only for Heritage Open Days weekend in Sept) This cottage garden outdoor cafe is just opposite, hidden down a leafy drive. A peaceful green spot away from the bustle of Matlock Bath. Friendly welcome.
The Tea Garden at this restaurant offers breathtaking views and is situated in a great location. Although there is a steep hill to climb to reach it, the effort is well worth it. Alternatively, you can always use your car to find parking nearby. The service and food at the Tea Garden are top-notch, making it a peaceful and enjoyable dining option away from the busy atmosphere of Matlock and Matlock Bath. Additionally, there are many beautiful walks to enjoy from the Tea Garden.
Lovely location Recieved warm welcome when arriving Tea and scones were reasonably priced and delicious Although you can’t see the road, you can still hear the vehicles. Very small price to pay for such a chill garden All and all highly recommend and will come again
I also found this whilst walking from Matlock and have returned again with hubby in tow. Having sampled the cheese scone a few weeks back (lovely) this time I had a very tasty soup. Hubby couldn't resist the date and walnut cake, as well as a cheese scone very nice. Coffee is good quality as well and the position of the tea room is great. I will be back again soon to sample something else. .
