We had planned to have a cooked meal. We ordered at about 1.15pm, which was a little later than planned. I ordered quiche but there was none left. My husband wanted ham but that had gone too. We then asked for baked potatoes with fillings but there was only one left. so I settled for a panini. So much for a hot meal! It was busy but surely there should have been more of these common foods in stock? On the plus side, the front-of-house staff were pleasant but it'll be a while, if ever, before we return even though I've been there several times in the past.
We went for a shopping trip to Peak Village outlet would normally go around the corner to the Claret Goose but we weren't ready for a full meal so went into Massarella Restaurant. We had never tried it before, Service was quick and friendly, we just had two coffees and two toasted sandwiches, I had Stilton and onion on sourdough bread. The food was served promptly and was good and tasty. The place was clean and tidy and the prices were very reasonable.
My wife and I travel from Cheshire to Massarella's once a month. Love the food, has always been good albeit portions have got smaller recently. There are plenty of restaurants nearer to us but we like this one. There is a coffee/tea/cakes lounge conservatory and plenty of space and tables to sit out in the warmer weather. This particular restaurant is undergoing a full refurbishment soon so check if open. Prices very reasonable and good coffee served. This is a no frills establishment, nice and relaxed feel to it.
Staff always pleasant and helpful and the food is of good quality. Plenty of choice and great value. If we are in the area and want a bite to eat we will always call in.
