The Ragley Boat Stop - Derby

The steaks here were incredible! so good value for money. we will definitely go back. my legal father had the murphy (32oz tbone) and said it was one of the best steaks he had ever had. the only disadvantage was that the toilet was disgusting. I had my baby and had to use the disabled baby change room to sort them and it was a condition! it was not even busy and we went at 6:30 on a Monday evening, so it was very quiet. the personal is obviously not testing the toilet facilities regularly.

Lovely meal ..Good food portions..staff friendly and helpful..bit tired looking hence only 4 stars..but food surpassed first impression of decor

Love this place. It's always so busy but we've never had a bad meal yet. They seem to have enough staff on so no one seems stressed. Great value and very pretty outside in summer xx

I really enjoyed my visit to the restaurant. Everything I ordered was cooked just the way I liked it. I had the Murphy T-bone steak cooked medium-well, and it was delicious. I’m not quite sure how I managed to fit in dessert, but I took some pictures just to tease my sibling, haha. Oh, and my wife also enjoyed her meal!

I absolutely love that this restaurant has been around for over 20 years. The meals are worth the price, and the staff is friendly. I've never had any issues here. They have both an upper level and a balcony where you can enjoy drinks and meals. There's also plenty of space downstairs and outside in the garden, which offers a lovely view of the canal. I always recommend this place and return frequently. My favorite dish is the 32oz mixed grill, which comes with all the sides, and it costs only around £16—great value compared to other places I've been to in the past.
