I highly recommend Thai Boran restaurant. The food is beautiful and the prices are great. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. Thank you for a wonderful dining experience!

The food at this restaurant was truly delicious. We opted for the set menu and everything was fantastic. We requested our dishes to be spicy and they were indeed very spicy and flavorful! If you can't handle heat, I suggest not getting it Thai spicy, but the staff did warn us about the spiciness. The tamarind duck was especially exceptional. We will definitely return, despite the 10% service charge added to our bill, as the staff were excellent and deserving of a tip. We couldn't finish all the food but the staff happily packed it up for us to take home.

We found the food very poor quality, especially at the price paid. It is not as good as it used to be when in the premises further up Green Lane and even a year ago at lunch time it was better. We had green curry but not much flavour, just a green sauce with bean shoots. No fresh coriander, aubergine or onion. The rice was very stodgy. Pina colada mocktail smelled very strange and had a hint of cheese. Very expensive for what we got discount given for paying cash but a similar sized service charge applied. We won't be eating here in future and the staff will understand why.

Great food, very authentic Thai. Best Som Tom papaya salad in the UK. Friendly service and so accommodating. Thank you O and the rest of the friendly staff at Thai Boran!! Will visit again, if back in Derby!

This was my second visit to Thai Boran. I wasn't overwhelmed during my first visit although I did like the decor and displays. I found the food a bit mediocre and nothing too special. I decided to visit again to give the place the benefit of doubt. The food was a lot better and the Thai green curry was tasty enough. However. I was absolutely disgusting to find on receiving the bill I was charged £9 for 2 pints of squash and soda! £4.50 a pint for lime and soda! That is nothing more than an absolutely disgusting rip off! What made it worse was the fact 10% service charge was added to the bill! £5.40 for bringing the food to the table. That is also disgusting. I was not previously charged a service charge and don't think one should ever be added. Needless to say I will not be returning to this restaurant and I will done at the other Thai restaurant around the corner in future.
