Classic Canton - Derby

This restaurant review is disappointing. I placed an order at 6:38 PM and was given a delivery time of 7:38 PM, which seemed reasonable for a Friday night. However, I had to call at 7:52 PM because the food had not arrived. I was told that the delivery was delayed due to flooding, which I later found out was not true. After further delays, I called again at 8:08 PM and was told that they couldn't find my order, even though I had placed it with Classic Canton. Eventually, they found my order and admitted that they were just busy, offering no discount or apology for the delay. This lack of communication and poor customer service is unacceptable, especially when we had children waiting for their food. I will not be ordering from Classic Canton again and am considering cancelling my Just Eat app. It seems that once they have your money, they prioritize other orders ahead of yours. The total cost of the order was £30.60, with no prawn crackers and a £3 delivery fee, which I found to be ridiculous.

I tried this Chinese takeout for the first time. I placed my order over the phone and the delivery was ready in 15 minutes. When I arrived, the place was very busy with delivery orders and there was no parking available outside due to the high traffic. The ribs in BBQ sauce were good, but the sauce lacked depth of flavor compared to other takeouts. The special fried rice was tasty, but the chicken sweet and sour balls were not crispy, they were soggy. Overall, the quality was average. A major drawback is that they only accept cash, no cards.

Last night, we ordered takeout from Classic Canton. We ended up ordering more than we needed, but the prices were still reasonable. The steamed chilli pork dumplings were delicious, as were the beef mains, vegetable side dish, and Singapore vermicelli. We also received complimentary crispy and tasty vegetable spring rolls and two fortune cookies. Everything was delivered quickly and hot. We were very pleased with our experience!

Had a take away from here delivers on time and large portions and was hot , can't say much more really chicken balls are a little greasy for my like but my daughter thought they was great mushroom chow main was lovely and chips are great

Absolutely shocking experience!! I called this take away tonight to order a chinese, after placing my order they explained to me my order would take 30 minutes to be delivered, 40 minutes later my order had still not arrived therefore I called them back, I spoke to the same woman I had spoken to when I placed my order to ask why I hadn 't received my food, she then put the phone onto a man not even explaining who he was who then said someone else had called off my phone and ordered food to a place I had never even heard of, I explained my phone had not been used however he just said in reply 'we have it on record we can not deliver your order as you have ordered food to another address ' annoyed I just accepted and said to forget it, however reflecting on what had happened I decided to call back and ask to speak to management, to which I found the restaurant was closed and they will not open again until Tuesday. I am guessing what had happened was they forgot my order and it was too late for them to arrange my order as they wanted to get home!!! Never will I ever order from here again! First and last time!!!!!!
