Bidra med feedbackThis historic mansion is worth going to just because it is gorgeously restored. The owner was our waiter and gave us a tour after our meal. Lunch was good. Not great but good and it was surprisingly inexpensive. The accompanying salad was arugula so for some people not enticing. I like arugula but this was nearly all arugula with a horse radish flavored dressing that was too generously applied. Main courses were quite fine.
We enjoyed a Sunday, Easter brunch at the Lumbar Baron Inn. Prior to our meal they had an egg hunt for the kids who were present. The staff was pleasant and the food was very tasty. The best part was the ambiance of this old, historic mansion. I am looking forward to going back and trying out their afternoon tea with my friends.
Gorgeous house with incredible ambiance. We loved The Lumber Baron Inn and Gardens for Sunday Brunch. There were 8 of us, we could easily hear each other. There was a variety of fresh, delicious foods and the servers were attentive and friendly. Overall a great dining experience.
We went for Valentines Day with a pre-fixed menu so maybe another night might be better, but we won’t likely give it another try nonetheless. The best thing we had was the halibut entree, followed by the steak; however, the halibut was covered in an arugula sauce that had way too much garlic in it and the steak was accompanied by a single prawn, not de shelled and way over cooked. One of the desserts had a crust that was so hard it could not be cut or eaten. Pretty building inside and out makes for unique ambiance, but not worth the rest.
Amazing location. Food was fantastic. The owners introduced themselves and gave us a tour of the house. Great all around
