Dickey's Barbecue Pit - Denton

It's hard to go wrong with bbq, and this thicky isn't taking off. I got the Wednesday's daily deal, which was a BBQ sandwich with pulled pork and sausage, 2 pages, and a drink for only 8.99 amazing price for the amount of high quality food. the sand that filled incredibly and the flesh was fresh. the sides (I have Mac-n-Käse and coleslaw) were beautiful and creamy. the BBQ sauces were good, but nothing to drive home. the decor was classic southern bbq and the staff was polite. great experience in total also they have free ice and cone! I didn't even have to pay for dessert.

The staff is always friendly and the place is always clean and the food is top notch as far as bbq goes love the jalapeno cheddar keilbasa

Dickeys is always good! Wish they served burnt ends, my fave. Had brisket, ham and sausage with cole slaw and Mac cheese. All good, their sweet sauce is tops, makes all the meats better! Super friendly staff, clean restaurant. Would recommend and will return for sure.

We love Dickey 's. Three stars are based on our experience tonight We always go earlier, so we have never paid attention to the hours; until tonight. We were craving some Dickey 's BBQ. Looked the hours up on the internet and it said closes at 9:00 pm. We went out of our way, and arrived at 8:30. Open sign is still on, but was told the meat was already wrapped. Asked if the other Dickey 's is open. I don 't know was the response. We went to Rudy 's.

I thought it was just horrible. They are upcharging if you get brisket in which I did and my sandwich was more than half fat. When I told the young lady that if they are going to upcharge I should have actual meat not fat. She just looked at it and me and said nothing. I am appalled that it was not fixed to a standard better than this. Keep in mind I had the little hoagie so that about a three inch bun and the photo included will show just how much fat was on that small sandwich. Upcharged to chew fat. Gross. Update: Dickeys Customer support reached out and sent me coupon for free sandwich and ribs. I go back to the restaurant to eat again for I've eaten here many times so maybe just a bad day that day. Get up to counter and show coupon and lady says oh no we don't accept those here. I explain why and she again says we'll sorry bit we don't take them and nothing she can do and we can drive to other store which is clear across town mind you. But they would not accept the coupons. Will never visit this store again ever. Horrible horrible service. Dickeys at Razor Ranch at 2530 W University Dr Ste 1110, Denton, TX 76201 worst customer service I have ever had. They do not care at all for the customer or what they serve
