Bidra med feedbackBartender Jack works Tuesday and Thursday is awesome. Full of good suggestions and good conversation. I had th lunch pork with red skin potatoes and gravy. Delicious. My husband had shrimp poor boy and liked it. We had gator bites for appetizer and it was great, unique dipping sauce. The peach and berry cobler with vanilla bean ice cream was the perfect finish. Definitely time for a nap. Not a place for a budget meal but I will be back. The food is worth it and the service makes the experience exceptional. Thank you.
Wow! And not in a good way. From the moment we walked through the door, I knew we'd made a horrible mistake. Arrived on a Saturday night around 8pm. While BJs and Chuys right next door had packed out parking lots, there was literally 4 cars in the parking lot here. Should have known then... As soon as you hit the door you smell spoiled, soured beer(I suspect from my years in the service industry) dirty bar mats not properly cleaned or s filthy floor...My guess is both of these assumptions is correct. We were seated next to the bar when the entire restaurant was open and I had to ask to be moved due to the overwhelming smell of sour hops, what smelled like puke, and rotted hot shrimp... Moving us helped with the smell and our server was nice. The appetizer we had was good. It was gator tail. But our entrees...oh my God when I say mid-rancid shrimp smell wafting off my husband's and oldests sons plates. My husband's was cold and when he mentioned something to the server he immediately took it ans headed off for the kitchen.. yet again maybe they'd redeem themselves...this time though...he came back with THE SAME PLATE WITH THE DIACARDED SHRIMP TAIL my husband had eaten still on the plate. They MICROWAVED the dish and it was still cold, uncooked shrimp!. My youngest didn't touch his blackened pasta. I get a little bit of char... but full on couldn't cut the chicken and the cream sauce was so cold he couldn't stir his noodles...WHY was the food cold when there were literally 5 tables and 2 couples at the bar? ??? I called the manager over and she apologized and asked my husband if he wanted his food remade he said no we'd just like the check. She did remove the one dish and it was still $70! I've literally had better at Popeyes!!! I get it, it's no pappaxeauxs but Jeez!...We were so excited to try it only to be 100% disappointed. I'd like to say we'll try again but the empty parking lot on the busiest restaurant day in the week at peak hours speaks volumes...Id encourage you to try Razoos, or go buy a box of zararains and cook at home. The quality was atrocious!...I really wanted this to be so much better....from what I've heard since our visit, this is the norm. Denton has got WAY better spots for seafood. Make the drive to Dallas or Ft Worth or even Roanoke or Southlake for better quality food
Great service the food was hot fresh and seasoned well. Our server was very attentive. The drinks were really good too
Been wanting to try Catahoula's, a friend was curious too. We had the lunch specials and both of us enjoyed our meal. Will definitely go back.
I usually get some kind of Cajun meal when I got to establishments like this. This Cajun burger intrigued me, so I ordered it. It was delicious, better than I expected! My husband got the alligator tail, which was delicious as well! I'm not sure if that is normally chewy, but even so, it was so good. We sat at the bar the service was okay. She was nice attentive, but would disappear for 10-15 minutes at a time.
