Bidra med feedbackI'll start with the negatives. My experience at PinPin restaurant was disappointing. We ordered chicharon and pancit, expecting the dishes to match the mouthwatering pictures on the menu. However, the chicharon turned out to be just packaged pork puffs, a far cry from the juicy fried pork advertised. The pancit was also a letdown, with a plate filled mostly with noodles and meager toppings, lacking the variety of vegetables shown in the menu. The portion size was large, but the quality was subpar, with only a small amount of chicken and cabbage thrown in. We were so dissatisfied that we returned everything, opted for just a beer, and vowed never to revisit PinPin. The restaurant used to be much better when it was bigger, but under new ownership, it has deteriorated into one of the worst Filipino dining establishments. Luckily, we found a better restaurant across the street and will not be returning to PinPin anytime soon.
I have visited this restaurant a few times and each time, I have found that the service, menu selection, and utensils are below average. I ordered the lechon belly, which is supposed to be their specialty, but they were already out of it by the time I arrived. It is recommended to call ahead if you want to try this dish. The sauces are served in small takeout plastic containers, which are never enough for the meal. This is unacceptable for a sit-down restaurant. The service can be inconsistent, especially when the restaurant is busy, requiring multiple attempts to get the attention of the wait staff. The dishes I have tried have been mediocre and not something I would crave to eat again in the future.
I recently dined at PinPin and tried their barbeque chicken skewers with rice. It was a fantastic choice and absolutely delicious! The service was quick and friendly, and the prices were reasonable. I will definitely be returning in the future.
Our Filipino friend recommended and took us to the Vancouver Pin Pin which we enjoyed very much. So we all made a point to also try the Pin Pin in Surrey. It is newer and much larger than the Vancouver version. Plus they take reservations....It seems to be very popular because the place was full and this place is large. Nice decor and friendly service. The menu appeared to be the same as in Vancouver. This time we tried the lechon grilled pork roll. It was delicious. I probably packed a few arteries with that one. There was a stuffed milkfish which was good, just wished they had removed all the bones. Everything else was good. We had the halo halo for dessert again, plus the caramal flan and pichi pichi which was good. This time it seemed a bit more expensive than last time but that may have been the particular dishes we ordered.
Our family eats out often especially when we have visitors from out of town. We ordered Lumpia Shanghai, pinakbet, sisig, chicken mami, nilaga baka, and tokwa baboy. Food was good for the most part and came out quickly. Until the Pinakbet came out and we...saw a hair in our food. Coming from the food industry we understand that it happens from time to time. However the way the servers dealt with it was really inappropriate, the first lady smiled and laughed and walked away, the second lady while she offered to take it off our tab never apologized, instead stated we all wear hair nets. We said our intention was not to get a free dish, but to try a meal that the family enjoys from this restaurant. We asked them to please remake the meal and to keep it on the tab. We were served the soup dishes with people not receiving bowls and had to ask for more water and bowls. In the end no supervisor, manager, or employee came to check to see how the food was or to apologize. We just wanted to let you know that, this was an opportunity to allow your employees shine and they failed. Food was good and came out quickly. We hope this review helps your business become better at providing customer service.
