Vakhos Taverna Βάκχος Ταβέρνα

Our Delphi tour brought us here after our trip to Delphi. What a wonderful place! The view was gorgeous. The food was tasty. We ate their leek pie, formaela which was a fried goat and sheep cheese, stuffed peppers and grass pea croquettes with onion chutney. Their portions were large. We had leftovers! The service was exceptional. And the prices were really reasonable. They had lots of options for vegetarians. We would definitely recommend this restaurant.

Lots of options, well labeled menu, good beer selection

Make sure you book and they give you a wonderful table. Absolutely beautiful restaurant. Lots of vegan choices labelled on the menu which is always great to see. We tried lots of different things and they were all lovely. I think I preferred the starters to the mains but it was all great. Also they gave us a free dessert and when I asked if it was vegan they even knew to say it had no honey in which was reassuring.

Vakhos has many vegan options and the staff is very friendly, but we didn’t really like our food. We did really like the vine leaves as a starter, but we both were not enthusiastic about our main. I had the eggplant as a main, but it was so soft, like porridge.. The taste was overall good tho. We did got a nice dessert from the house, which was very sweet! The view is just amazing! The views are amazing and the menu has many labeled vegan items. I had the croquettes which were super crunchy and tasty, and I was glad to see they had vegan baklava. Overall lots of options and tasty food. Updated from previous review on 2023-05-23
