Del Rock - Deloraine

The restaurant has a nice, cozy, and quiet atmosphere, and the service was good. However, the food fell short with two of the four meals. I ordered the surf and turf, and while I asked for the steak to be cooked medium, it arrived well done with charred edges. This was quite disappointing. I chose not to send it back because that would have meant waiting for a replacement, and with young children, that wasn't feasible. My daughter ordered the roast lamb from the main menu, which clearly had been microwaved and tasted like it was leftover from the previous day. My husband had the salmon, which was quite nice, while our son enjoyed a lovely wood-fired pizza with fresh toppings. I would recommend the pizza, but that's about it. To be fair, I mentioned the issue with the steak, and they generously offered it to me at half price, which was better than nothing and handled well.

It was New Year's Day, and the only place open for a public celebration was the pub. Half of the city showed up, and while it was crowded with workers, they still managed to serve a nice dinner for families. I would consider returning, but only if it’s not the only place open in the city. The staff were fantastic, the food was great, and even the parma was the perfect size.

The atmosphere was very relaxing, the food was incredible and cooked to perfection, and the service was accompanied by friendly smiles.

I ordered the surf and turf with my steak cooked medium, but it came out overcooked, which was quite disappointing. I didn't want to send it back because that would have meant more waiting, and with young children, that wasn’t really an option. My daughter had the roasted lamb from the main menu, but it was clearly microwaved and tasted like it was leftover from the day before. My husband ordered the lamb shank, which was quite nice, and our son had a pizza that was excellent—wood-fired and freshly made. I would recommend the pizza, but that’s about it. To be fair, I’m hesitant to complain too much...
