Outpost Grill - Deer River

Went to the Outpost Bar Grill in Deer River, MN Friday night. I�ve kinda wanted to go there since they opened. It�s a big log building and looks nice from the outside. Haven�t heard a lot about it, either good or bad. So finally the opportunity presented itself (Friday the 13th February).

I have been there a few times, we sat at the bar and had great service. I have had the prime rib, salads, and burgers. They were all very good. They have a DJ and ladies night on sat nights which was a blast. We always go there when we are up from the cities on hunting and fishing trips.

The service at this restaurant is poor. While the food is excellent, sometimes that just isn't enough. If the service is lacking, it can really ruin the entire dining experience. The owner, Jodi, is quite rude and shows little regard for her customers. I won't be returning and will be sure to share my experience with others. Word of mouth carries significant weight.

Wow! It seems that the Outpost Bar and Grill in Deer River, MN has new management. We've been patrons since they first opened, but we’ve never experienced such rude service from the staff as we did on May 30, 2011. Keep this in mind: the customer is not an inconvenience to your job; rather, the customer is your job.

I've dined there multiple times and have consistently enjoyed excellent service and delicious food. The interior decor is stunning, and the prices are fair considering the generous portions you receive.
