Hideaway Pub - Deer Lake

My friends and I visited this bar on a Saturday night for some drinks. If you enjoy a casual, old-school, relaxed bar atmosphere, this is the place to be by the lake. It's a bar, not a restaurant, but it has a great atmosphere with no frills. Everyone was friendly and we had a great time. I really enjoyed my experience there!

I have paid $8 to take a taxi here from the deer lake hotel because of the excellent reviews I read on trip advisor. I was shocked when I went through the door. this is a Bar/Pool Hall / casino. the people who have reviewed this place before do not do the customer or establish fairness. the barkeeper has actually apologized and recommended another restaurant. they're gonna cost me $8 to drive the block.

This hidden gem is always a good time. It's perfect for private parties, but may feel a bit cramped with a large group. The staff is friendly and entertaining. Don't miss out on Karaoke Night—it's the best!

My girlfriend and I were on our way through to Gros Morne NP and were looking for a place to watch the soccer game Germany vs USA (Germany won, yay! . I called ahead and the owner set us up with the game on a big...screen and moved a couch close by. Like my own living room. Super service. We had some wings and beer during the game and all was perfect. I will stop by again!!!

Always a good time at the hideaway. It is a great place for private parties even though it is a bit small if you have a large crowd. the staff are friendly and funny. Karaoke night is the best!
