The Dinner Shoppe - Decatur

I took my family to the restaurant based on their website, and they didn’t disappoint. The service from Crystal was impeccable and atmosphere on the porch was mild and happy. But the biggest thing was the food. Grandson Oliver had the cheesesteak with vegetables. He consumed all of it. I had the portobello mushroom sandwich and daughter Kat had spicy fried cauliflower and had to share with the table. She also had the vegetable wrap with sweet potato fries. We all loved the food. Thank you to the restaurant for making a great time for us.Cindy DemmeOops although I can hardly wait to go to the dinner shop, this review was meant for the Grove Park Restaurant and Tavern. Today was my first experience at The Dinner Shoppe, as I picked up my online order for 3 casseroles. My family had the Shepherd's Pie and it was DELICIOUS!!!Looking forward to eating the other 2 casseroles! I'm planning on making this a weekly plan for family dinners. So convenient and affordable!

I became acquainted with the Dinner Shoppe when my sister ordered me some frozen casserole meals delivered after baby number 3 arrived in 2020 since she couldn’t visit during the pandemic. It has been love ever since. I’ve used Carol’s services to send meals many a time and I’ve also recently started ordering her meal prep monthly packages. My family will think it’s just a new recipe I tried and every time they tell me how good dinner was. That’s when I tell them Carol’s recipe was a hit again! We have tried the shrimp po boys (this made me feel like a New Orleans chef), chicken burrito bowls in the slow cooker, various casseroles.. I especially love the sunrise breakfast casserole. She has a variety every month and a range of cuisine types to fit any budget or taste. I love it because it is helping to switch up and try new recipes with all the legwork of deciding what to cook and grocery shopping taken out of the equation. Not to mention, Carol is just a lovely person and goes above and beyond to tailor the prep of the meal to your liking or needs. Thank you, Carol! Just placed my August order!
