Double C Truck Stop - DEBERT

Great little local diner with good breakfast at very reasonable prices! Service was great and their dollar breakfast fries were excellent

If you miss your moms home cooking, go to the Double C. The food is delicious and tastes very home made. Did I mention the portion size yet? Well, I know I didn't. I just needed a segue. I can't count how many times I said I was going to get dessert and never followed through. I'm not a small eater, but I just never had the room. We have gone just for dessert because I'm a pig that way. The first dessert run was for chocolate cake that I was craving. I was expecting the waitress to bring out a piece of chocolate cake, not a huge slab of a portion. To be honest, I don't remember what my girlfriend ordered because I was in cake heaven. And I'm a guy so naturally I wasn't paying attention. She did tell me in the car that it was one of the best *insert item here* that she has had in a very long time. I followed by telling her, with chocolate stained teeth, that the cake was amazing and very light and fluffy. Have we gone back just for dessert? You know we have. We go there, not because we're passing it, but because we're craving it.

Food is basic diner food, nothing special. Long waits, kind of pricey for the same meals you probably cook at home. Not a fan of the service either. Servers dont come back to check on you, and they always seem annoyed when you need to ask for simple things like butter for your potatoes, a straw for your child's drink, napkins etc.... Had a waitress tell me she wasnt bringing my kids their drinks until they dinner arrived, um I'm a capable parent and can make that decision on my own thanks.

Great place for breakfast just off the highway. Service was exceptional welcoming and full of humour energy to get your day started. There was a good portion of food and the three different types of eggs delivered as requested. Don't forget to ask the waitress how to pour your tea without spilling awesome

First time here and it was the typical diner experience. The food was average and servers were pleasant. Would recommend.
