The Root Beer Stande - Dayton

First time and we LOVED IT!! Per the hubby, the Reuben was good but cabbage could 've been chapped smaller. I had the Philly and it was FANTASTIC! REAL MEAT! No paper thin meat here! Cauliflower and Corn dog 's wer cooked completely and hot and the Funnel Fries Sundae is to die for!

Sent the wrong items, and the entire meal was inedible. When I notified Door Dash, they issued a $2 credit on a $30 meal. Because of the situation, and my mother needing to eat, I had to reorder the exact same meal and spend another $30 on the meal. The second order they got right, but I am $60 into a hot dog and fries. If you order, you better eat whatever they bring you, or be prepared to order and pay full price until they get it right.

What a gem! I thoroughly enjoyed the food and the service was friendly. Could use a fresh coat of paint.

We tried this restaurant out. It was very slow service and the food was just not there. The sweet tea was not good. My burger was charred and my husbands tasted freezer burnt. The tots were so salty we couldn’t eat them…maybe they were having an off night who knows. The prices were just way too high for two meals we spent $28.

I have loved this place since my husband and I first discovered it at least 40 years ago. The atmosphere is great harkening back to a more gentle time of car hops and cruise ins. The food is great menu of burgers, foot longs and floats. Put the top down on your car in warmer weather and just relax. Having said all that, the last time I was there this past Friday, December 23, 2022 getting an order to go, I can 't tell you how disappointed I was with my food The foot long was cold almost as if it had not been cooked and the condiments (mustard, pickle relish with extra onions) were almost non existent. Maybe it was just an off day. That won 't prevent me from going back to see if it 's a pattern or truly an off day. Maybe I 'll see you there. The root beer float was excellent.
