Lara Mia Cafe & Bistro - Davao

This restaurant offers a wide variety of delicious Italian comfort food. The Quattro formaggi brick oven pizza is topped with generous cheese and has a chewy crust. The pasta dishes, which are oil and cream based, have great texture and authentic flavors. The chicken and Osso Bucco dishes are tender and flavorful, not greasy. The carrot walnut cake is the best I've ever had, with a cream cheese frosting that is just right in sweetness and consistency. The gelatos are also a must-try, especially the New York Cheesecake flavor. The coffee is rich and not too acidic. The staff, though somewhat inattentive, were nice and didn't judge our large appetites.

Lara Mia has the appearance, feeling and taste of a bistro that could be found in Italy or another European country. Also in the more prosperous communities in the US like Newport Beach. But Lara Mia is located in one of the oldest municipalities in Davao. Owned by 2 sisters Lara and Marie, both studying in Europe, Lara Mia offers an eclectic menu ranging from Italian cuisine to French pastries to Filipino traditional favourites. We tested the gelato, we also have their 4 cheese pizzas and their prosciutto and arugula pizza as well as their cappuccno. Without exception, we are excellent. Even the chocolate melt, which was based on a recipe passed on by its great grandmother, was excellent. There was a constant flow of people in the bistro, but service never suffered. The Bistro-Dekor was also well done. There was nothing to criticize.

I really loved the Margherita Pizza and Gelato at this restaurant. The ambiance is beautiful and the staff is very accommodating. Definitely recommend checking it out.

This place is stunning! I visited on Monday, so it was warm and charming. And the best part... Your food was delicious!

Their Porkchetta is perfect! Love their pizza too. Servers are friendly. Service is prompt. Ambiance is cozy. Editing my old review: This place is famous because they serve delicious dishes. I usually have pasta or pizza. You can have two flavors in your pizza (I think you can even have four). Their coffee is good, as well as their gelato. And yes, their staffs are accommodating as always. This is one of my go-to places here in DC, which I always recommend to my visiting friends.
