Sunset - Darwin

Great restaurant to dine at while watching the sunset. The price is very reasonable (AUD39/pp).. excluding drinks. The food was really good.. seafood is fresh and they have a wide variety of cooked food both western and asian. The beef is really awesome.. not so much the crabs tho.. Excellent service they provide bowls for bones/shells and another for us to wash our hands. Both are replaced often. Worth every dollar. I'll come back again!

In one word, Excellent. I could not fault my experience at this restaurant and it lived up to all my expectations. There was a good variety of both hot and cold seafood as well as more than ample selections of dishes for those that don't want seafood and even enough variety to keep any vegetarian happy. All of the items I tried from the buffet was fresh and perfectly cooked or prepared. When one of the foods was emptied from the buffet servery, the staff were quick to restock it. A good example was the natural oysters which was emptied and restocked many times. The service from the wait staff also could not be faulted. They were welcoming, friendly and attentive. Scrap and finger bowls were changed often and always well before they could become a problem and the used plates were also cleared quickly allowing room for our next trip to the buffet. The bar staff were also quick to bring the drinks to our table. All of this prompt attentive service was provided despite the restaurant being quite busy with a good crowd of customers. We will definitely be back, probably many times.

Having 8 people for dinner, the buffet price was quite reasonable and the food was so delicious that we all ended up going back up until our stomachs were about to blow. In saying that the cocktails could do with some improvement if they are going to cost $17 each ; should have just stuck with the classic margarita instead of having it frozen into a slushy as it ruined the taste and the Pina colada was more cream than liquid which was very disappointing and not worth the price as you can see in the picture.

Great restaurant. Food is great and sitting outside while the sun sets and the ocean breeze makes eating here very pleasant indeed. Only criticisms is that is like to see a larger variety of desserts. There's plenty of desserts like different kind of cake but it would be good to see things like a mousse or a vanilla slice. Just something for the suggestion box. Otherwise, a very nice place to eat dinner. Do recommend.
