The staff at this restaurant is extremely friendly and aims to please. There is a genuine family atmosphere. I have tried several dishes from the menu and most of them are very good or excellent. I highly recommend the pan-roasted squid served every Friday for lunch - it is the best in the city! The squid is freshly baked to order and never overcooked. It is done perfectly! When thrown in a homemade roll, it is hard to beat. Yum!

I have been a loyal customer of this restaurant for years and I always rave to my friends about the delicious food and fantastic service. Our favorite dish is the stuffed hollow rolls, which I often order extra to share with my friends. The soups and pan-fried swellfish are also exceptional. I have been going to Janina for about a year now because it is conveniently located near our new office. I love the friendly staff and the great specialty dishes. All of the food is homemade and the portions are generous. I particularly enjoy the Polish carvings and the fresh pan-roasted squid served on Goulash Fridays. The food is amazingly fresh and it is a great spot for a small lunch.

On Friday for lunch with my daughter, especially for the carving rolls and was not disappointed. 2 good size roll covered with tasty sauce. came home with a fresh roll. my daughter had the chicken cheese. they made the cesar fresh, instead. sitting in a Goopy fair waited all day, as are served at other places. many chickens and cheeses. they gave us an eating card to buy 7 get a free. we'll be back, next time for the chowder.

This is a hidden gem in the burnside industrial park. Small little place with some extra tables out in the lobby area. Good home cooking, friendly staff and good prices. Today it was polish meatballs with rice for 10. We were there for lunch and...had no problem finding a table. Highly recommended.
