The Pennyweight - Darlington

We went Saturday at 4.00 we got drinks served straight away. Carol asked what we wanted knowing we like the fish platter. No cod bites left so we could have extra fish cakes or prawns! There were four of us. I asked for a window table and sure enought the request was granted! The food took quite a while but we weren't in a hurry. We got more drinks. When the food arrived it was superb and they brought us a bowl of chips which were delicious home made! These were complimentary due to our wait! We will be back. Thankyou.

I asked for a window table and safe enough that was requested! the food took a while, but we were not in a hurry. we have more drinks. when the food arrived, it was great and they brought us a bowl of chips that were made delicious at home! these were free due to our waiting time! we're coming back. We had a fantastic night at the Pennyweight listening to The Paul Skerritt band. There was a problem with the kitchen so the landlord rang me to explain and still offered to reserve a table for us at a later time so we could eat elsewhere. I later got another call to say the problem had been rectified and we weren't disappointed. The food was fantastic, well presented, great tasting and plentiful. Will we return?, yes we will.
