Bidra med feedbackToday, I had a terrible dining experience at this restaurant. During a work dinner, I noticed that there were limited vegetarian options, with only a duck and eggplant dish available. Not being a fan of eggplant, I asked for it to be substituted with other vegetables but was denied. Left with no other choice, I ordered the only other entree option, a carrot salad, but was informed after 5 minutes that it was expired. Embarrassed, I had to modify my order to a bland combination of bread, potatoes, and leaf salad. While the rest of the table received their orders 40 minutes later, mine was delayed as the staff claimed they were "checking". When my meal finally arrived, it consisted of a sad looking baguette, flavorless potatoes, and a rushed salad with olive oil and salt dressing. The food was subpar and not worth the time or money. The ambiance was rated 2 out of 5, as the restaurant was not busy and despite making a reservation in advance, my group did not get a table by the window. Overall, it was a disappointing experience and I would not recommend this restaurant, especially to those with dietary restrictions.
All four of us opted for the 3-course set menu for $55 at this restaurant. We started with the Duck salad, tuna, and avocado dishes. For mains, we had the market fish and the pork chops, and for dessert, we enjoyed the rhubarb, flourless chocolate cherry cake, and lemon tart. Everything was delectable, except for the chocolate cake which was only so-so. The service was exceptional and attentive. The daytime view was pleasant, and the restaurant is open for dinner on Thursdays, promising a stunning skyline at night. Overall, a great dining experience that we will definitely repeat.
During a recent visit to the Australian Museum, we had lunch at 1 William. The food was of excellent quality and beautifully presented, although the wine selection was a bit limited. The views overlooking Hyde Park, The Domain, and Woolloomooloo (including the port) were stunning. Overall, it was a very pleasant dining experience.
This is a great place to dine. It is bright and bright with a wide view of the city and beautiful waiting staff. The menu is small, but something for most people. Meals came fast and were well presented, served good quality ingredients. We weren't rushing... so it was great to relax and have a good catch up with an Interstate friend.
After a visit to the Australian Museum we decided to have lunch in the convenient on site upstairs restaurant. The highlight was the view, it was terrific looking over Hyde park, St Mary's and the domain out into the harbour. The food was a OK,...not terrific and a bit pricey for what you got but the view certainly made up for any shortfall.
