Just 3 of us for a Sunday dinner. We ate on the pavement rather than indoors: a little less crowded but still able to enjoy the atmosphere and hear the singers just inside.The service was fun, friendly, fast and effective. We felt like family within minutes.The menu was interesting and served perfectly.Yes, the company and the music influence your assessment of the food, just like the service influences your view of the ambience and the menu. This review is about the package - and the package was great.

This restaurant is eclectic with not and extensive menu but has daily blackboard specials. Food is very well presented and tasty and the service is attentive and pleasant. Wine list is not extensive but you will find something you like and the pricing is moderate.

I've been eating three times at Concrete Duck during my stay in Sydney. I've first discovered the place when having a drink then I've wanted to give it a try for dinner. The menu is limited (a proof of freshness) but diverse enough. I had twice the eye fillet and asked it blue (being french!) and it came almost prefect. The second time I had the marinated chicken and it was also very good and very tasty. The wine by the glass selection is very good and at reasonable price. To put the place even higher in ranking comes the owner (Anna) that is not only discrete when needed but also very nice to talk to when the time comes. So is the very nice waiter ! In two words this place needs a try in the sometimes too noisy Surry Hills restaurants. A gem in a very unique neighborhood. Don't miss it !!!

I have been eating at TCD for about three years, it has in my opinion got better over time. The food has always been very good and sometimes excellent and for what it is reasonably priced, in short you get what you pay for which is what I want
