The majestic Himalayan peaks towering over 8,000 meters in the distance create a breathtaking backdrop that keeps you captivated for hours. However, the tea we were served was disappointing, especially considering that Darjeeling is known for producing some of the best tea in the world. The price of 6€ per teapot felt like a rip-off, as you could easily spend that money on accommodations and meals in Darjeeling. It's no wonder the resort was empty, despite the incredible views of peaks like Kanchenjunga, the third highest in the world.
Sipping tea on the terrace of the cafeteria at the hermit station is truly priceless. The majestic peaks of the Himalayas, standing at over 8,000 meters tall, dominate the horizon and make your time on the terrace feel never-ending. However, the tea they served us was a disappointment, especially considering Darjeeling is known for having some of the best tea in the world. It's a shame that some companies don't understand quality. The price of 6€ per teapot feels like a robbery, as you could easily eat and sleep all day in Darjeeling for that amount. Perhaps that's why the resort was empty and the terrace deserted, but despite that, we enjoyed the breathtaking views for a while. The sight of Kanchenjunga, the third highest peak in the world standing at 8,598 meters, is truly priceless.
