Bidra med feedbackSuch a unique little spot! Felt like we were in a movie the way the music was playing and the table was set up for us on the sidewalk. Truly so memorable
The owner is eclectic, to say the least. He is hospitable when he wants to be, but might be abrasive to some. If you read through his replies it encapsulates both his hospitality, but also his pretentious nature. The food is actually pretty good, which is a shame. Different than the Mexican food I’m used to of Southern California, but definitely has a flair for flavor. Ultimately I would label it as different than what other spots are serving- and that in itself deserves a +1.I came here expecting the prices to be a bit weird and hidden, as many of the comments said. And with that, I was not left with surprise. I paid for my meal and left feeling like I got jipped on the change back. He quoted “tax” on his cash only business, but unless PA passed a new 24% tax on Mexican food I’m not sure if the man is just bad at math or just was in a rush in getting me out. He told me it was 17, but gave me $9 back on my 30. He made me feel d when I asked him about it as if I’m not aware tax exists in the world we live in. Maybe he put a service charge on my to go order..? If you run a cash only business you should be INCLUDING tax in your prices. Just my opinion, of course, but something that left me thinking far longer than was worth my time. The restaurant itself is quaint, but I’m sure this place has its regulars as the food is actually good. Im just not sure I would ever come back here as it left a bad feeling in my gut from the vibes. I would recommend everyone else to try it though, cause you might not have the same experience as me and I wish I could have left feeling better about the experience. So long as you can afford 15-20$ burritoFlour tortillas are freshly made on the spot which is definitely a game changer. Prices are high, reflective of the times we live in. Seating is outdoors only from what I could tell, and can accommodate 3-4 groups at one time. Maybe in the winter they change it up. I may never know though… ?
A bit hard to find but so worth it. the owner was so friendly and helpful. we didn’t really know how the menu worked so we just got brisket tacos and they were INCREDIBLE. seasoned, fresh ingredients. absolutely wonderful, would definitely recommend
La bamba is such a unique experience! It felt like having dinner at a friend's house. Right when you walk in, you'll notice the eclectic decor, fun music, and cozy atmosphere. We got the surf and turf fajitas, which was more than enough for two people to share. The steak and shrimp were both perfectly cooked and came with so many amazing sides and vegetables. The drinks are HUGE and come with complementary cuervo : We got mango guava and mango hibiscus, both were great but the mango guava was my favorite. The owner was so welcoming and kept checking to see how everything was. I'd recommend this place to anyone looking for a delicious and memorable dining experience!
Heartbreaking experience here as I was so excited to catch them on a night when they were open and had indoor tables available. we put in our order, then looked to my left to see the table beside me absolutely covered in mouse droppings (photo). my husband said to ignore it, but then the owner came over and attempted to wipe some away with his hand and then didn’t wash his hands before going into the kitchen and prepping our food. we asked for the food to go and paid since we already ordered. unfortunately, we couldn’t bring ourselves to try the food.
