Gateway - Dania Beach

I stopped with my father while I did some chores in Daytona. Breakfast and service were 5 stars. Great house cooked breakfast at a great price. Felt as served by Mom! Don't miss tasting this classic diner.

The Gateway Restaurant is a great place. The food is great, the service is great, the prices are great, and they even opened early for me one day because I got there before 7am. The Gateway is a staple in our community. It is like stepping back in time. I highly recommend eating here to everyone.

Very good breakfast. Great price and fast friendly service. Awesome home fries and pancakes. The vintage feel and long time service of this place to Daytona is amazing. I highly reccomend you visit this wonderful gem!

My wife and I have eaten here for the last 3 years or so, and this is THE best place for breakfast in Daytona. It has been there 82 years. The bacon, eggs, grits, and coffee are VERY, VERY good, and priced very low. It is run by an older, genteel Greek couple, and we love our waitress, Barbie, who is very helpful and gregarious. She says that when she was 12 years old in Tampa, she used to jump alligators with her bicycle! Compared to the other Daytona packed, loud, and expensive breakfast places, the Gateway is very quiet, and most customers are older tourists and older local people and some young people. Yes, the tables and chairs are old and old style, BUT, to me, that just adds to the charm of the restaurant!
