RAYA at The Ritz-Carlton, Laguna Niguel

Very nice dinner before our high time. the intention at sunset was quite spectacular and the service and the love for detail lay up to Ritz-Carlton standards. eating was excellent, although the portions a little small, but overall it was worth the ride.

Unfortunately I wanted to love raya @ritzcarlton, but it was just average food and service. the location and the sea view are excellent. positiw: both the cocktails, a reef on the maitai and a passion obst mojito, were very good when a little expensive 18) and my dining room companion enjoyed his chicken sandwich. absolutely stunning view of the pacif with view of the salt creek beach. not so positiw: the Asian style chicken salad was drown in dressing. I almost sent it back and in hints I would have liked the dressur to make every aspekt of the salat. In addition, the truffle mangories were subdued and undercooked for me. service was sufficient but not typical pin or st regis service.

Lovely sunset. Pea soup and d rest of the meal was delicious. Not salty. Professional and quick service. Highly recommend!!!

This place offers delicious lunch(11 am- 2 pm), afternoon food (2 pm -4 pm), and dinner options. You do not need to be a guest of the hotel to enjoy the Raya restaurant. Going to the Ritz is always a good experience. Ask for a table by a window and marvel at the views while you enjoy an impeccable meal.The service is always top-notch if not every employee, then most. I want to give a huge thank you to Shekinah and Sue especially for making the already amazing' experience that much better.Chris was my server and he was very attentive and courteous. His recommendations were spot on. Great cocktail and good presentation food.Overall, The service was perfect, Views were heavenly. Food lacked the Ritz reputation but was still pretty good.

Average food at best. Small portions, high prices, not great quality. Party of 8 for dinner and service was good. The steaks were not of good quality (both had gristle) and one had to be sent back because it was overcooked. The scallops were good, but 4 scallops with nothing else on the plate for $55 is a crime. The small plates are small. Barely enough for an appetizer for one person. We won't be back.
