Nelson's Seafood, Steaks And Cocktails

I was looking for something good and different and this definitely hit the spot!If i could add extra stars to the service I would!From the greeter to the waitress, super impressed!

I had the lobster bisque which was excellent, very good! They definitely try very hard to please, and give great service.I tried their lobster sliders and crab cakes. It's hard to describe but both the sliders and the crab cake were “ok”. They weren’t as good as Pappadeux seafood kitchen, and about the same quality as I’ve had at expensive French restaurants like cadots just down the street. I guess what I mean is that the lobster in the lobster sliders and the crab in the crab cakes didn’t taste fresh but then again, the majority of restaurants I’ve eaten things like that at don’t taste very fresh, sort of like what it would taste like had it come out of a can or been frozen a while . I've often cooked king crab legs and lobster tails at home so I'm used to knowing what freshly cooked seafood tastes like and these didn't taste that way but again, most restaurants and steak houses don’t , only Pappadeux does. The mgt was great and I think they may have even taken the sliders off my bill since they knew I wasn't too thrilled by it, so they are really huge on delivering great service which they do.

It seems to be a tradition. After landing at Love Field from a long flight, I go visit the staff at Nelson’s off of Preston to get a solid pour. Call me crazy, but I like to pair the deviled eggs with the Weller 107. It’s harder and harder to get a nice pour at a reasonable price. My wife loves the okra and the bison meatloaf is fantastic.Cheers!!

Met a friend for dinner and drinks on 6/16.Appetizer: sampler included crab cakes devil eggs and shrimp popper-excellentHer entree: Wagyu Burger and fries.My entree: Red fish with Rice mango salsa and I subbed the asparagus for the collard greens and cornbread…Cocktails was a Moscow mule and a cosmopolitan.We made excellent choices our food was Devin and filling

What a find!! Prices were reasonable and the quality of food was awesome. We will be back. I’d rate it a 5
