North Slope is one of our go-to spots, especially for brunch. The food is delicious. Check their Facebook before you go to see if there are any events going on. Sometimes there is trivia or live music, which definitely changes the vibe. We take our two small kids there for lunch or brunch sometimes and it’s nice and family friendly as long as there isn’t an event going on. But events could also be fun if that’s the vibe you’re looking for. Vegetarian options: I’m a vegetarian and have never had an issue finding options. Kid-friendliness: Definitely family friendly as long as there aren’t any events going on.

Wow. What great food! And the weekly specials are always something to look forward to. We've been there several times now and loved every thing we ordered. Food was fine, service was slow but friendly. The two biggest issues I had were the absolutely terrible seating and the lack of free refills. Not only do they give a small glass, they fill it almost completely with ice so you probably aren't getting more than 6 ounces of beverage. It would be one thing if they gave a proper size glass. But they don't. I can't remember the last time I've been to a restraunt that charges for refills. I can literally go up the street to dallas tap and grill, get unlimited refills under a dollar and have very quick friendly service. There really isn't an excuse for it. The final issue are the seats. I despise going to any restraunt with those horrible industrial seats that a small woman can't even sit in comfortably. If you fix those two things I truly believe you will have more repeat customers and more positive reviews.
