Bidra med feedbackHas excellent ice cream that's made in-house. I haven't had a chance to try their donuts yet, but next time I'm in town I'll definitely swing by!
FLIES IN THE DONUT CASE!!! I walked in this morning and the first thing I saw were FLIES FLYING AROUND IN THE DONUT CASE! They were landing on the donuts and everything. I couldn’t unsee it! I politely told the associate behind the counter and walked out. Sanitation is everything to me. I have no idea what the donuts taste like and I probably never will at this point.
Two stars cuz the Lemon was good.About a year ago I stopped by, I had not been to hypnotic in a good while as the previous time it was disappointing. I wanted the Elvis, like they used to make them when they first opened.FRESH!Warm bacon.Fresh sliced bananas. No cold congealed bacon. No brown dryish bananas.Well the Elvis had been sitting there with dried bananas and cold congealed bacon. I left without a purchase. There were at least 1/2 dozen sitting there in the tray.I stopped by again about two months ago, wanted the Elvis, it had cold congealed bacon, I didn’t get the Elvis, I walked out with a Lemon. The lemon was fresh, donut crispy and lemon filling delicious. So I went again on Friday, May26, I believe. Nonetheless it was Friday, there were two Elvis sitting there with cold congealed bacon, Eww!! Was going to purchase several diff donuts, I walked out with two lemon. I asked if they could make two fresh Elvis for me. Clearly they had fresh bacon as they had just brought out a tray of fresh maple bacon. The lady manager, I didn’t get her name, curtly said No! They only make one tray on Friday and there were two there with sad looking banana slices and and cold congealed bacon. I could buy those. I ended up leaving with two lemon instead of a 1/2 dozen mixed.Wishing Hypnotic would go back to making them with fresh sliced bananas and and warm bacon.Perhaps the vision they had when they first opened has been lost. Customer service was, cheery employees and fresh Hypnotic donuts were a draw. It was an all encompassing visit. Made you want to go back and interact. It didn’t matter that there was a line out the door. At some point the total package experience was lost.Fewer people in lineThen maybe a few people ahead of youThen no lineJust ones gals opinion.
Honestly, it's my favorite doughnut place in all the Dallas area. Everything is always fresh and delicious. The staff is always friendly and inviting. The Atmosphere, while a small place, is colorful and open. Would not just go again but stay others there with me.
Not your typical donut, that's what makes it worth the short drive to pick these up. I love going into a place with personality and not the assembly line feel.
